We had another good day yesterday. Mom and I went to church and Chad and Laura came over for a visit. It was really great to see them and hear about their lives. Mom really enjoyed their visit. We're still awaiting a call for the official date of surgery and hoping that it comes very soon. I'll post again when I get that information. Thanks for everyone's concern to not only Mom, but to the rest of the family, as well. We are all so grateful for your calls, emails, and prayers. The support from our community and friends has left such an impression on my family. Thank you!

  • Hey Misty! Not sure if you remember me...Shari Rexroad, I'm Nancy Reckart's daughter (and your cousin)! :) Anyway, just wanted you to know how much we love you guys and how much we are praying for ALL of you! We are all so shocked by this news but also know that God is SO good and when a few gather in his name...MOUNTAINS CAN BE MOVED! :) I will be staying updated through your blog and of course, our church family at Bruceton United Methodist. Give your mom our love & God Bless you all!

  • Misty, I am so thankful that you are posting on this blog to keep us updated. You, your Mom and whole entire family mean so much to us. We love you all dearly and are keeping you in our thoughts and prayers daily. I can already visualize the tumor gone, never to return and replaced with pink healthy tissue! Susie, we are pulling for you - all the way and love you so much. Misty, give your Mom, Dad & Grandparents a big hug from all of us at Macomber. Love, Doe & Sandy

  • The community you build is certainly one of the perks of cancer....reach out and there is always a hand or six reaching back.
